Does any one have a recommendations for somewhere that can refurbish my 13" wheels in the Manchester area for a reasonable price?

Give John a call at MCR on Bury New Road.

Has just done a set for me.

What was the cost out of interest?

There's one on the Stockport > Whaley Bridge road, next to the Soldier Dick in Furness Vale.

The above are in Longsight and gave me quite a cheap quote last year, I think it was £170 for 4 15" wheels. I never got the work done as I sold the car, so I can't personally recommend them, although they were recommended to me by a friend. It's basically a back street tyre shop that also does wheel repairs.

Just found this using the search - yes people use it.

I've just got a quote from the wheel specialist for 75 + vat per wheel so 360 all in. This is for wheels without tyres to be refinished in grey. I think that is expensive - do I need to have a closer look at myself?

I think you get a discount on Mondays?
I have yet to find anyone else in Manchester who does the proper job i.e blasts the wheels and uses proper powder coat.
If anyone does find such a place, and its reasonable on cost please advise!

Just dropped my show wheels off here - http://www.wheeldetail.co.uk/, not Manchester but not too far away.

They do awesome work, and do ceramic polishing which is hard to find.

These prices look much more palatable.

In Bury, they quoted me around £240 including VAT for a shadow chrome set of 19's. So £60 a wheel. Obviously a bit more effort to get the shadow chrome look as it's silver over black. That's dropping the car off and leaving it with them for the 2 days. Rather than me messing about sending them etc.

They powder coating my brake calipers and alloy centre bells before.

Went from this

To this

Also did my friends wheels, and they looked great. So will be getting them to do my Monaro wheels.
