I'm currently looking for some volunteering opportunities in the North West so thought I'd try here for some recommendations.

Me = Bloke, Mid 20s, have some time to spare before I get back into full time education again, currently 'working' from home pretending (very badly) to be Warren Buffett (day trading/pissing my savings down the drain etc) and it's driving me mad being at home all the time.

Clean license, no criminal record, own car and very flexible time wise.

I live in Salford Quays and would be willing to travel 10 miles each way or thereabouts. Free as of 20th March. Oh and willing to spare 20-30 hours a week.

Any suggestions?

Are you any good at washing cars?

Can you brick lay?

Plastering??

etc etc??

As for valuable opportunities to go on your CV or to offer some sort of fulfilment, not sure i can assist.

I've volunteered when younger doing stuff for local country park rangers. Was a great way to waste Sunday mornings, did it as part of D of E award.

Also, help with local scouts now. You're more than welcome to assist if interested - based near St Helens - not massively more than your 10 mile radius away, probably 15 miles or so but there are of course more local groups.

Local ATC group? I did that for a few years and enjoyed it.

Also ny volunteering jobs at the Imperial war museum? that would be quite cool.

It is purely based on my personality! Although I've mellowed in my old age.
