New to the area and need my 650 serviced. Williams in Bolton have a shiny new dealership it seems, but does ther service back it up? Any experiences? Other dealers nearby?

Bought my 5 series as an approved used from Williams Rochdale and have always taken it back there for service. I can't fault them. It's always been done while I wait. You even get breakfast if you book it in early!

I've found Williams to be OK if not outstanding. There is nothing wrong with them, not like the con artists Bowkers in Preston.

I've now switched to Batemans in Grange over Sands. That's mainly though because they have a very good M technician.

For a none M, I'd say Williams are fine.

Where are they?

I've been into Williams today (nice M5 demo too!) and they are going to quote in the week. Will loan me a 5GT and potentially an X6 as a test drive too.

Warrington and Southport.

I know its pushing it distance wise. I used to deal with them in a previous job and they always were pretty good.

Warrington isn't too far. Went over to Ikea the other day!

Will get a price from them.

One of their best ones left this year and now works for an independent garage in Barrow.

FYI - Halliwell Jones have dealerships in Warrington, Southport, Chester and North Wales.

Last time I check Halliwell Jones in Warrington don't do service work on a Saturday, not sure if that's an issue for you or not.

I use Williams in Manchester.

Have phoned a few now and Williams Manchester are the cheapest. Bolton would have been easier to get to, but they don't have a 5GT they can loan me.

Wouldn't touch Haliwell Jones in Warrington with a barge pole.

Was pleased enough with Williams in Manchester. They did try to sell me £1700 worth of tyres though!

I agree wholeheartedly with this statement. Royally shafted me with the MINI. Fine to buy from but their after service is shocking.
