Driving up to Manchester again this Saturday and wondered what the conditions are like?

It was fine and dry (but cold) at 5.45 when I walked down for a paper this morning. Yep, insomniac here.

Had a snow shower since then, but it's now drizzling so it shouldn't last.

I'll be doing M6, M62 and off at the M60 interchange. As long as it's OK round there then I'm fine. The 6 series is useless in the snow.

Snowing here in Warrington now but not really sticking - just slushy.

Wife is at home nr St Helens though and says it's sticking a bit there.

(Just bought two sledges in fact!)

Snowed quite heavily here earlier today, it stuck and the flakes were quite large too.

Covered my car anyway :-/

Took a few snaps so will try to get them off my phone and onto here at some point today.

A few miles up the road and they had nothing, so it was a fairly local thing.

Just peeked out the window and there is still some snow around, not affecting the roads though.

Had a fairly good downfall in Knutsford area today, roads are clear but there's slush as the sides and traffic is crawling along. Its freezing already so overnight could be quite sketchy too, and the forecast is for similar tomorrow. I'd allow a lot more time if you're on a schedule. M6 southbound (J19) was crawling when I passed over it too.
