Hi all, I'm after recommendations for some alloy wheel refurbishing and a good car detailer ideally in the Chester/Wirral/North Wales area. Personal experience would be best but any responses are appreciated. For the detailing I'll be looking at a full correction.

Many thanks in advance.

not that good in my experience. Although an improvement on the original, the finish wasn't great. They don't balance the wheels afterwards which is a cost that you have to allow for.

if you do go remember that they don't take cards. Have cash with you.

One of my neighbours used these guys - http://www.f1alloys.co.uk for the wheels on his M3 and was very happy with them (I haven't looked at them close up, but he'd be the first to say of he wasn't happy).

Not exactly in the North West, but a little further south you can try Ibrar at Speedwells in the West Midlands. He does loads of wheels for the guys in the Supra Mkiv club and always gets fantastic reviews.

How about the wheel restorer in Wrexham? They seem to have a fairly good reputation, but have yet to use them myself. www.thewheelrestorer.co.uk
