Looking to purchase wedding rings, not bespoke but ideally from independent retailers, any suggestions of where to go to get a few in the same area? I know Birmingham has a huge area, but can't really be ar*ed going that far.

Thanks in advance smile

If you were near crewe, go into John Pass Jewellers on Nantwich road. Sister's BF works there and I have been in a few times myself so I know they do plenty of really high quality jewellery.

If you go in, ask for Chris and tell him Paul sent you smile

Ok, its a bit far but...
Necessary Angel in Keswick is very good.
Reasonable and they offer a very good bespoke service.

Plus, a weekend away in the Lakes is one of life's little pleasures smile

You can now fly direct to Gibraltar from the North West. The money you will save there could easily cover the the cost of a nice weekend away wink

Slack & Andrews in Manchester - choose a stone and a band and pay half the price of the High Street.

Used them twice and friends have use them too.

Worth a look at least.

I should maybe have pointed out that my budget isn't on a par with a second hand car! Only looking to spend a few hundred quid, not really interested in hugely expensive jewellery as I'll likely lose or damage it.

This might be a good bet once I've looked around - have seen a few reviews online after googling them and sound pretty good.

I've already seen a ring a like on the high street but thought I'd try some independent stores instead, hence the thread.

I always use Peter Jacksons, bought Mrs Rats engagement and wedding rings from there.

Leeds has a good jewellery quarter in one of the arcades - possibly Victoria Arcade?

Hey Kirsty,

have you tried the Manchester Craft Centre? I'm sure Ed will have a better knowledge of who to speak to in there but there's a few bespoke jewellers and I've had good things made there in the past.

I did the same early this year, ended up getting the stone from a diamond merchant on Shudehill, and designing the ring and going to the Jewellery Quarter in B/ham to get it made - not what you want to do I know!
