To the knob who kept on swerving infront of me on my way to work last night. If I ever come across you again will you mind growing up and read the newspapers to see what a car crash looks like.

I was going to put ... I will kick your testicals but your that thick I doubt you even know what testicles are!!!

Rant over.

'Your' would be better if you had typed 'You're'...

PH:Punctuation matters. Ha ha.

Ah, just one such reason that I have a video camera running whenever I drive now. Its HD and hardly noticeable and its caught countless prats, including myself ;-)

What do you do with the footage? (Other than watch it of course)

HD camera is a bloody good idea. I've seen some stupid driving but last nights idiot was the worst I have had to deal with in 31 years of driving. And since I've been crashed into by a drunk it's telling you something how bad it was.

Oh, just delete it mainly. Maybe I should start archiving it for a compilation video for YouTube, minus my occasional speed indiscretion. ;-)

In the last month or two its captured various idiots jumping a red light, using a mobile phone, pulling across three lanes of traffic and missed a motorway exit but continued across the chevrons anyway and crap in the middle anyway.

Mine was mainly for track days and nice scenery but then after seeing countless accident videos (where the main driver was not at fault) and some insurance scams (braking on purpose) I figured what the heck and had it installed for full-time use. Fingers crossed not had to use for any insurance purposes, but at least its available should the worse happen. Plus if some idiot was weaving and braking in front of me I would be tempted to report him with the footage, or at least point the camera out to the other driver and make him sweat for a while.

I use a GO Pro HD, its an awesome little camera and I use it for multiple purposes (canoeing, biking, track days and even on the dog). Some examples of video quality (not mine) are here:

http://youtu.be/Z-J2xTDv_eY?hd=1 (regular 30 fps)

http://youtu.be/3ABi862VzPY (60 fps for super-slow-mo action)

Mine is mounted between the rear-view mirror and windscreen so it does not even show in my field of vision. Its powered via a USB cable to a 12v socket. The cable is 2.5m long so I can route it around the window and tuck it in so it hardly shows.

Here it is attached to one of our dogs when I go canoeing:

The quality is superb and something I'm going to look into. I'm not sure what's going on but we once had BMW idiots, then a short while Audi but now vauxhall.
