Did I spot a couple of cameras mounted side by side on the inbound Bridgewater Way (This is where the VW and Audi Dealerships are)in Manchester ?

Wondering what they are for......

those two sets of black cameras mounted side by side on bridgewater way are the same type ANPR that are used on supermarket car parks to dole out tickets to over staying cars usually (parking eye) knobbers. dont ever pay them idiots.

they take shots of the car but highlight the number plates for ID purposes.

there was talk of them mounting posts at the side of the road to scan your speeds as you pass by them but iv'e checked and there are no posts there at the moment??? but watch this space. you never know with the odd lot.

hope this helps.

they have been there for years and are ANPR. They form the 'belt of steel' for Manchester city centre. Extra cops will be positioned at the end of that section when something important is happening to catch any 'perps'.

they're on most of the main routes in/out of manchester..cant really think how they could record your speed, they just seem to scan numberplates and help catch terrorists paedos etc

plus gas is still available and it is the best but if your really stuck you can make up your own penetrating fluid with brake fluid+methylated spirits as i often do to release cylinder head bolts that are seized in with coolant and rust. WD40 is a water repellent therefore its a drying agent meaning its no good in locks as it will clean out the mechanism and dry it out.
WD40 was made back in the days b4 electronic ignition when it was points condenser and a distributor cap and HT coil that were all subject to failure in damp conditions therefore the need to use WD 40 DRYING AGENT OR DE WATERING AGENT.
original name was rocket WD40 and still made in bury near manchester by tetrosyl products.

plus gas is and always will be the best. but the brake fluid and meths trick is a good back up plan when your stuck.
derek jackson manchester. simple solutions to your impossible problems.
