I'm thinking of going - it's a toss up between the Gold Cup and F1 Stockcars at Belle Vue on Monday. The agony of choice!

I will be there with my 72' Beetle I will be snapping away all weekend so Ill make sure I put some pictures up. I was going to go to Mallory on Sunday but a knackered alternator has put pay to that

Trying for Sunday/Monday but the wife is pulling the 'it's our wedding anniversary on Sunday' card at the moment.

May just have to be Monday if I can't do some swift talking in the meantime.

I will also be snapping away with the camera so i will hopefully get some photos put up shortly after the event. Reading about some of the events and numbers of cars taking part it sounds like a great couple of days. would people recomend getting there pretty early to avoid any parking/traffic problems?

Traffic is a problem these days as it's such a busy event but get there an hour or two before the on-track action and you'll be fine. It's the perfect chance to soak up the atmosphere. Oulton is also great for photography due to the general lack of catch fencing. The backdrop isn't as clear of clutter as Goodwood, but generally makes for more evocative historic racing shots than most UK circuits.

Yep, I will be there Sunday and/or Monday. Have to take the Marcos as there are usually several racing, but if attending both days might bring the Monaro one day. Its a great event if the weather gods smile on us.

Looks like a good few people are going. May I suggest we meet at Blakemere craft centre earlyish and convoy in, taking some back roads, avoiding traffic to the back entrance and park together on the other side of the track?

I would say the petrol station, but if a few turn up, the whole place will clog up. At least at the craft centre there's a decent car park
