Hi all,

As many of you may have heard a garage which I shall not name as I noticed it already had a closed thread has folded recently.

My car was in for repairs under warranty at the time the garage went bump and it appears someone has removed it from the premises, possibly to recoup money they were owed.

The car details are: Black Subaru Legacy BE5 B4 RSK (twin turbo), Reg. T356 UBA, manual box with just under 58k miles on the clock, tinted rear windows and dark coloured wheels.

If anyone does hear anything or spots it please get in touch, obviously I'd be very grateful!

Hmm this wouldn't be a large car importers in Warrington with a tuning department they called 'Racing' by any chance? Had some tyres changed on my Legacy GTB there a couple of years ago and thought it all felt a bit dodgy even then... Interesting reading over on MLR too.

I'll keep an eye out for the car locally, but from the thread on MLR it doesn't sound too promising frown

Yes that would be the one!

I can't believe what went on there, just hope everyone gets their property back.

If they went bust, have you spoken to the official receivers?

If what has been written here is even remotely true then I'm not sure anyone official will have anything of value frown

I would report it stolen to the Police and make an insurance claim as I suspect that you will be unlikely to see the car again in any kind of acceptable state.

Good luck

Yes car has been reported stolen and I have started an insurance claim.

Still hold out a small bit of hope in it being ok but mostly resigned myself to the fact it's probably already been stripped down.

Will post any news up so it may help others.

Sorry to hear of your situation - really not good!

As for said garage - a weird one - i called in there a few years back looking at a Mitsi GTO (pre-fatherhood days) and remember thinking it felt like a good setup.

However, about 12 months later, mid 2006, a mate of mine's Dad bought a brand new Evo9 from them for a superb price of £20,995. Seemed too good to be true but worth a shot. Put his deposit down and seemed to take forever to come, with numerous excuses about boats being delayed etc etc. Then, call comes in, car has arrived and is being prep'd. Then takes a good few weeks - blaming long SVA waits etc etc. My mate's Dad became very nervous - despite the fact that he'd called in and seen 'his' car. Then car in his spec appears on website for sale. Even more nervous now!

In the end, a week or so later, gets the call - car ready to be collected, delivered fine with no issues. A minor warranty issue occurred and they sorted no quibble or problem. He even went as far as reccommending them to his own son when he was in the market for a Forester STI.

Yep, madness!

They must have just got too deep into debt and cleared off.

Left me in a mess as I haven't received my V5 and the invoice was in the car when I took it back for servicing, the police now want proof it's mine!

What a headache!
