We're going away for 3 weeks and are looking to drive to the airport. Does anyone have any recommendations for parking at or near the airport? Would prefer "normal" parking rather than the leave your key valet. Would also need to be close or a park and ride bus to terminal as we have a 5month old son.

Cheers

Just had a look on Manchester Airport's web site and it's only £75.00 for the long stay for three weeks.

Don't know whereabouts you are, but it would cost me nearly that much in taxis.

There's also a frequent bus service from that car park to the terminal building.

Just remember to park by a landmark. Took me a good 15 minutes to find mine the last time I used it.

As was said above. Man Airport's own car parks do some good deals if you book online first.

I paid £30 for 8 days last month to park at FSS (flight shuttle service).
When I came back, as they park the cars on gravel there was a thin layer of dust which I had to clean off the following day. It was covered in it.
If the £75 quote for 3 weeks above is correct, that sounds quite good.
There's a couple comparison sites which you can use and you may get it cheaper in advance.

Thanks guys. £75 sounds reasonable but will look at the comparison sites now

Just had a look at comparison sites. We can get the Long Stay for a very reasonable £64. There is a Jet Park and Manchester Airport Shuttle Park for £40. Anyone any experience of either of those 2 or is it not worth the £20 saving?

Iv'e left my M3 in the long stay a couple of times with no probs at all. If I remember corectly MAN also do a jump start service if your cars flat when you return. Cant be 100% on that but seems to ring a bell.
I've also parked at T3 short stay before now and the amount of expensive motors there is unreal. If it's safe enough for someone to park there Aston or RR sport then i'm sure you will fine.

Shuttle service to all 3 terminals runs quite often. Mind you the car parks arn't that far away so it's easy enough to walk to them. Just leave the Mrs and bags at arivals and pop off to get the car.
Just remember to book online first otherwise it costs a whole lot more if you just turn up and pay.

I normally use the shuttle park at Manchester. I think last time it cost £30 for a week but we booked it quite late. Never had a problem leaving either of our cars there and it is manned so if you have a problem starting the car they can jump it for you.

I used to just go in to T1/T3 long stay - and put on expenses. But then 7 days at £120 looked too steep, even if I wasn't paying.
So now I book in advance and get sensible prices - like £35 for 7 days.
And the upside to this car park - you can walk in to terminals if you aren't carrying too much.

Thanks for replies guys. Booked the Long stay for £54 (handily found a discount through my employer)
