I had my car done but it was the 2.4 20V 5 cylinder volvo engine without a turbo. I had it done at Hardy's in Pwllheli (about 6 years ago now!) which I was told by a NW gas fitter are one of the very best in the UK and worth the drive out there. My installation looks like it is a standard manufacturer fit. Paid for itself a few times over now and I don't notice a difference in performance although I do lose about 15-20% on economy. Still a worthwhile saving on fuel.

Thanks for the tip :-) Leyland LPG at Adlington near Chorley. John has done 2 X5s for me. 1st a 4.4 then a 4.8. Tel: 01257 481858.
Also, Eddie at F1 (I think)in Bolton, 01204 529529, talks the talk. More expensive for 4.8, so stuck with the local one I knew.
4.8 conversion has been no trouble at all and is the third conversion I've had done.
Beware the cheap ones, they could put you off for life.
Good luck.
