OK pop pickers. I have decided to put the feelers out about an excuse for an afternoon or evening session of rumblin and/or drinkin'. - Not to be mixed though of course!

Yes, it's my birthday on Monday 24th, so I was thinking of going for a celebration drive & soft drink OR be a car tart (if one of you top chaps and lasses will offer their spare seat) and get wazzed at one of the following times:

Saturday 22nd from 2:30pm

Sunday 23rd from 2:30pm

Sunday 23rd from 6pm

Tuesday 25th from 7:30pm

Please state your preference (aka vote) if, indeed, you wish to partake in this debauchery. That way I can find out which is the most preferred time. Voting closes Friday 1pm.

The venue is yet to be arranged, but the idea is a pub in North Cheshire, so obviously The Romper is a suggestion and an easy option. As is the Stamford Arms (TVRCC region meeting joint). There is one in Marthall just North of Knutsford which is quite good and links on to a good hooning route I know. I shall have a look and maybe some organisation wouldn't go amiss, Richard

Of course, I'll understand if you think I'm just a sad loser who looks like a rock'n'roll star and don't want to have anything to do with me And is willing to miss out on the great chance of me buying drinks, you lot extracting the michael and me making a fool of myself

Here's hoping the groovy weather will last

'Strawberry fields' Liam.

Do we have to club together for a cake and some candles
My vote is for next Tuesday - w/ends are tricky at the moment - should be interesting to see you with the mother of all hangovers after the previous night anyway
I'll try and turn my exhaust volume down a bit
NOT
Venue is tricky - the Romper is good 'cos of the decent carpark, and a couple of tunnels with either end but really good driving roads aren't that close. Your pub in Marthall near your 'hooning' route sounds good, or somewhere down the A34 towards/beyond Alderley Edge/into Cheshire somewhere? You're more than welcome as a passenger, but I charge a damn sight more than a hackney cab if you
All together now, happy birthday to yoooooo...

Errr... I dunno, why don't you just take them out of the 54 you had for your birthday
So how old you going to be?
40?
Why I oughtta!! You is very cheeky for someone whose only reason for not getting out of Jessicas passenger seat is the onset of old age..... Madam!

Andy, thanks for the offer. It will be quieter in your car than having to sit behind it. Could help my hangover no end Believe you me, I would not blow chunks in anyobody's car (except Rover 200's ) and if it ever came to it I'd either tell you way in advance or I'd over the side on a right hand bend to get the maximum tangential projectile effect for maximum style points and to avoid loss of grip for the rest of the convoy.

Folks, I know I don't look a day older than 23 and definitely don't act my real age but I am actually in my 30's. Yeah, difficult to believe I know You'll just have to trust me

Maybe this should become an excuse to incorporate an impromptu Romper meet, (which of course is more important than my birthday) as well as sticking to the 'normal' schedule of course!

What I am trying to reiterate is...
ALL PHers AND FRIENDS ARE WELCOME

regardless of the fact it's my 32nd birthday....

D'oh!!! Thought I'd got away with not saying it.

Well im spending the day driving a caterham on the 22nd

Sunday from 6 or 2.30 is fine by me

How about the leigh arms on the way to mac? Lots of drinking space (unlike the romper) good roads near and a decent sized car park!

You don't look a day over 31!!!!!!!!

I would love to join you all either Sunday evening or on the Tuesday, as have other commitments over the weekend!

Venue is no problem - I have the Optimax/Griff I can go wherever I please. I am also familiar with the roads round Marthall/Knutsford so that is no problem.

You name the day and time and I will do my best.

Ellie

B***er curse curse curse

Can't join in the Birthday fun on any of those dates I'm afraid. If you change your dates let me know - would like to join in.

Doing the Manchester run on Sunday and Footy Sunday night, Tuesday in London (but might be going to see a couple of cars at Ferhurst though which would be good!)

Have some Birthday Beer for me you crazy cats!

Put the S on Autotrader yesterday and had 1 note of interest so far so fingers crossed.

Andy, no need to worry. Liam Ashcroft falls asleep way before he's had too much to drink .

You do realise I can hit you from here? You are but 5 yards away. And the fact that you are my boss does not matter one iota.

Just think of all the good weather you are missing now that your medallion on wheels is at RT Racing

So are you gonna come or not? You could always drive up in your Skoda Felicia GLX oops did I say that? Pwig will be jealous of that car!

Voting ends!

Right, I had pretty much decided more than a day ago that Tuesday looked the best but kept it open to see if I had any more mates.......

....evidently not!

So, Tuesday 25th from 7:30pm it is.

We will meet at The Romper by this time and then travel on for a hoon around Cheshire (I have a route) that will be led by me (either in my car or in Andy's Griff). Roughly it will be through tunnels to Wilmslow, head for Alderley Edge, turning right down A535 to Chelford, past Jodrell Bank to Holmes Chapel where we will turn right onto the A50 to Knutsford. From Knutsford we will turn right onto the A537 heading back towards Chelford. This will take us to the pub in Marthall (Chef & Brewer) at the start of a 30 zone.

I will probably go down there and find out what the name of the pub is, coz I can't remember.

Thanks to all of you who have voted. Should be a good evening!

Richard
