I may need to commtue from Cheadle to Liverpool, just off the M62. Need to be there for 9, and leave at 5.

How bad will traffic be? Assuming theres no break downs, will leaving at 7:30 suffice? May have to be 7am I suspect.

Should be fine going M62 W/B towards Liverpool in the morning (leaving about 7:30) to get there by 9am. Traffic will be bad in the evening between J11 and 12 Easrbound.

Depending where you get off for Cheadle you may find traffic quite heavy as well near junction 3 (M60) towards the A34 during the evening rush hour.

The Highways Agency are also planning some major works on the strectch of M62 near Warrington this summer !

Depends how far into liverpool really. If its right down in the centre that's a serious traffic event from the end of the M62

There is a potentially smarter way and that is coming off the 62 earlier and head for the airport and head into the city from the South. It worked a treat for me.

the biggest risk of being late on the return leg is if your wheels are nicked......biggrin

If this is not a single trip and you are going to be doing it for a while, watch out for a roadworks scheme starting towards the end of 2011 between J4-2 on the Anticlockwise. Reduced speed, narrow lanes, closed hard shoulder and general angry motorist muppetery.
