I know that a meet usually happens over at Wickham Square on Boxing Day and I am thinking of going along this year (subject to weather and how much I drink on Christmas Day drinksilly).

Is anyone else heading over and if so do you have any idea what time it usually starts.

I would probably like to come along, depending on the weather.

Not sure of the time, but it's early.

Went over with my brother-in-law 2 years ago. We waited for the hangover to subside then headed off, got to the square about 1100 - there was us and a biker, looking a bit confused and lonely. We'd missed all the fun!

So came home and had a drink. beer

Just done a bit of ‘Google’ing’ and it appears that it starts about 8.00am. A few people have said that unless you get there before 9.00am then there is little chance of actually getting onto the Square as it gets very busy

If you want to park get there waaaay before 8.Last year I went in the Unimog and didn't(read couldn't) get out of the square until gone 12.00.

This year I am trying the event at Romsey.Same sort of theme, but more of it apparently.

I went last year and it was a good morning. It does get very busy and you should aim to get there about 8 at the latest. I will be going this year.

Ditto. The earlier the better. You've gotta' be an early bird to get parked...

I went last year and got there a bit before 8 and got parked fine, but you have to be prepared to hang around for the duration! aint no way of getting out when everyone decends on the place.

Normally a good laugh though

I will be there as usual.
8 or before is a must.
The square will be packed with every type of vehicle you can imagine including traction engines, military etc.

Will probably go along mid morning to have a look around! Always good on a boxing day morning.

Been quite a few times now. Always some interesting machinery out. It has got ridiculously busy in recent years.
