Hello there! I'm crossing into your borders soon as a few mates and I are off for a night out in Brighton for Halloween and want to know which places are good to go out and have a giggle. Last time I was there we didn't know where the clubs were and ended up in a club called legends I think, was on two levels and had cages around the mezzanine floor and was a good laugh (was a student night I think).

where is good for a giggle on a Saturday night that isnt RnB music only.

oh and any good strip clubs to end/start the evening?

The Funky Buddah down on the sea front near the pier is a good club, the fishbowl is a nice pub, and so is the Fortunes of War which is near the Funky Buddah. Mind you I've only been out in Brighton a couple of times so no doubt people will be along with more suggestions.

Not been for a while, but for dance music, The Honey Club takes some beating. For a large club (5 dance fllors, 7 bars etc) playing 'normal' music, then there is The Event II at the bottom of West Street.

Spearmint Rhino have opened a club in East Street...alledgedly wink

On the sea front also try the zap club, had a few messy techno filled nights in there!

You do know Legends is a gay club? hehe

And the Zap has been turned into something else now, as has Event II (it is now a hideous, chav filled den)

As others suggest, most of the clubs are on the seafront itself. Coalition is excellent (used to be something else - The Beach, I think), as is Funky Buddah, just walk along & take your pick smile

Avoid West Street at all costs (has the Odeon cinema on), as suggested, go down East Street, few OK bars (The Fishbowl is a reasonable normal type pub), Spearmint Rhino is there & you are minutes from the seafront & clubs.

lol, probably wasn't there then, although could be a giggle to scare my mates. Just spoken to a freind, he reckons we went to event, was next to sea front near the wok-mania?

Cheers for the suggestions.

oh and any recommendations on hotels? we've booked the jurys inn for £109 but if anyone know anywhere cheaper then I'm all ears.

Oh and its a Saturday we're going not a friday as i said in my op (ill edit it)

There's a B&B right near the peir that was VERY reasonable when the girls came over from Sweden last time - I'll try and find which one it is and let you know, think it was about £55 a night and was nice indeed.

That would be fantastic if you could. Most of the ones I've found seem to be minimum 2 night stay etc so was making it difficult.
