Hi everyone,

I've recently moved down to the Isle of Wight. Does anyone know of a decent garage? I need some new brakes fitted and a couple of other things sorted. Any recommendations for tyre fitters also?

Speak to John at Fishbourne Garage.

For tyres, I usually go to Island Tyres in Lake, but only because they aren't fussed about putting used tyres on like some places are.

If you've only just moved down, why not bring your Mini along to the IOW Car Club event at Atherfield this Sunday, meet some of the local petrol heads?

Check out www.iowcc.co.uk for details. smile

Just gatecrashing! Have also recently moved to the island. Will try and pop down on Sunday as well if that's ok. Do you have to be a member to watch or only if you are entering?

Sounds good I'll come down on Sunday. Where abouts is it?

My mini is still back up in the North East, so I'll be in the Focus. Hopefully the weather will be decent!

I usually get my tyres done at wootton tyres

on sunday we're about hereish Should be easy to find as there will be a big iowcc banner outside.

Anyone can turn up and watch, you would need to be a member to compete though you can join for just the day.

Yep, no membership required to watch, just turn up. Event starts at around 10am and finishes about 4pm.

When you drive along that road on the map, there should be a large IOWCC banner at the entrance to the farm.

Just noticed this thread and thought I'd mention in here in case you missed my post in GG - Tesco Ryde now sell 99ron petrol on all their pumps as of Yesterday at 110.9 a litre. They have been threatening super unleaded for a couple of months but I expected 97ron, not the good stuff!

Good news for those of us with cars that don't like anything less than 98ron and don't like paying 125 a litre for 97ron at Harwoods and Fairlee.
