I will come along for a few beers! :-)
My project slowly getting there! I still dont think it will be finished this year either due to changing all the bodywork and engine ,wheels etc
Its a ground 'effect car' and has lots of aero designs within the body shape and should create massive downforce!
with a low drag.
Lots of weight saving materials have been used inc carbon, kevlar, magnesium,GRP,alloy etc
The idea of using the flat four subaru engine was because of its ability to tune it and its size (low C of G too)
and its a relativly cheap engine to tune

Some pics of its molds 'gaffer tapped together lol'

One problem is i have no room to build it in here so im looking for a bigger place to build it!

Steering wheel has ability to live map the engine ,data log, show all engine parameters, adjust boost maps etc

Now upgrade to a 2.5 block fully forged and garrett gt35 turbo fully moded everything to get a nice 600bhp
but will prob only run at around 450 to stay on the safe side and cut down rebuilds.

The stats speak for themselfs at not far off 3 times the power to weight ratio of a veyron! :-)
and up there with an f1 cars.

Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 600
Weight without Driver (KG) : 440
Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) :------> 1385.53 <------- :-o

I hope i can get traction ok with my new skinny wheels and tyres
If it handles ok i will have a very serious car indeed and am maybe looking to produce a few in the future(off the back of theis test mule prototype)
One thing i need to tackle is the gear ratios (as they are limiting to around 170+ mph at the moment)with 600bhp i could easy have 230+ mph car altho i think i would need bigger wheel bearings lol

Its build can be followed in complete kit car mag which i do a build update in 'running reports'

Indeed Gary, thanks for organising this, it was a fantastic laugh.

The rest of you lot, come to the next one or I'll have to bite you.

As an example of how awesome it was:

Yes I know I need a shave... Gary - can you thank Jim again for me, that made my evening biggrin
