Does anyone know of campsite around Southampton area that'll let you stay for just one night. Going down next weekend to go boating on the Sunday so only need to stay Saturday night. Also, it's me, my brother and brother-in-law so needs to be one that doesn't mind same sex groups. Most I've found on the net are 2 nights minimum. Anything will do, pubs with camping would be better or at least a pub nearby for Sat night!
Cheers!

I stayed at one called "Red Shoot" in the new forest for just one night a few weeks ago, very nice it was too: http://www.redshoot-campingpark.com/

Roundhill - nice site, reasonable prices and good facilities. And within easy distance of Beaulieu too wink

I've stayed there many a time and can't recommend it enough!

You could... Errr. Go 'stealth camping' if it's only for one night.

Depends if you could deal without amenities...

I'm really suprised - I went about 2 months ago in my Westfield - the guy at the gatehouse was really friendly and offered us a tarp for the car if the weather turned. The toilets/showers etc were clean and modern, and the pub just outside the campsite had a great selection of beers and good food. There was even a new forest pony sticking his head through the fence to greet us when we woke up!

Perhaps it changed ownership?

We found this place in the end http://www.sunnydalefarm.co.uk/ it's right where we need to be for Vortex Racing and were fine with us doing one night. Only £16 too such much cheaper than everywhere else.

Pub was good.

It was a wet windy March - first or second week of opening for the season. There was myself and gf plus a DoE group there. We felt like we were an inconvenience to the owners for being there.
