Very nice indeed! that red isn't the most flattering colour for it though, Met red, white, NeroEtna or the pale blue look great.
Where abouts did you do the shoot? Would love to do one with mine around there when I finally manage to save enough for a dSLR (not going well so far...) now I've finished college and don't have arts/media resources access anymore...

My Shots are Nothing like andys lol i just love that location lol.plus his are so much better then mine
The MiTo is a really fantastic car to drive my only real issue is when switched in normal mode the car is very very twitchy the steering is very light and not that nice to drive.
But as soon as you put the car into dynamic the steering has alot more weight to it feels far more stable and the the ecu is remaped along with boost pressures. Which turn it into a tottaly different animal and a real hot hatch.
The build quality is excellent and really is worth every pennie the only other slight negatives are the brakes they feel too soft this could be coming from me driving the citroen where the brakes are pin sharp.
In dynamic the susspenstion does feel alot harder and on bumpy roads its like driving a classic mini cooper with the ride being rock hard in serch of a better word bouncy.
I would hope that before the gta version is released they sort the suspenstion and brakes out with the 250bhp+ that Alfa Romeo say will be in the car.
The MiTo is fantastic value for money and with it being able to be had for under 10k if you scrap in an old car does seam amazingly good value.
The model i have is the 1.4 turbo veloce with 155bhp there is anouther turbo model with 120bhp and also a N/A model too.
It has been a great car to live with for the week tho and lots of people looking at it and coming over to see what it is.
I will do a bit more of an indepth review on monday
p.s. incomparison between this and the bmw mini which is the mitos compertion and im not saying this as a classic mini owner i would rather have the mito it feels more spacious and feels like it handles alot better and the quality of product does seem to feel better
re edited for my apauling gramatical skills.

With punctuation and grammar like that, please don't bother.I actually ordered a MiTo 1.4 Turbo before driving it, purely on looks and reviews alone. Luckily I managed to drive one before I handed over any money. I thought it was very disappointing - understeery, and lacked any real power for its weight.
As you said, don't bother with the "normal" mode, but even in dynamic it wasn't good enough tbh. Decided I'd rather have a second hand "proper" sports car for the money, RWD and convertible.
Sorry about the grammer punctuation i really should have a warning dyslexic ahead lol.
From others i have spoken to the 1.4 turbo 120bhp does feel very under powered and under steer is more obvious.
The 150bhp turbo seams to be spot on it doesnt feel underpowered and the under steer is noticable but coming from the big lardy c4 not that bad.
i shall go and edit the previous post to make it a bit more legible.

Good write up, if I was buying a new car this would definately be on my have list, I've always had a soft spot for Alfas and the MiTo is gorgeous. I disagree on the colours as well - a proper Alfa should be red. I think it might even be a legal requirement...
I think the brakes may be because you're used to the C4 - I've driven a few french cars and the brakes always seem to bite very early - by comparison my 216 easily outbrakes the ex's Clio, yet it feels like you're braking harder in the Clio as it takes no pressure at all to hit the brakes - the coupe on the other hand needs a firm shove on the pedals but it's much more progressive which I personally prefer
Glad you enjoyed it mate

+1 for the brakes! My old Mazdas brakes had ALOT of dead travel but you could always brake very smoothly and progressively, the first time I drove my Megane I went to stop for a junction and ended up braking so hard I set the hazard lights off... The Audi's brakes are alot more progressive in comparison too, however, Mum seems to struggle with the brakes in my Megane and thinks they're too sharp and she drives a new Peugeot 308, hers being smoother, and I agree. The LandRover Defender TD5 I was driving last week was a bit scary in that you literally had to stand on the middle pedal for them to even think about doing anything remotely similar to slowing the beast down...I think the brakes may be because you're used to the C4 - I've driven a few french cars and the brakes always seem to bite very early - by comparison my 216 easily outbrakes the ex's Clio, yet it feels like you're braking harder in the Clio as it takes no pressure at all to hit the brakes - the coupe on the other hand needs a firm shove on the pedals but it's much more progressive which I personally prefer

Cheque's in the post, Nick

That third shot of your original post, were you in and out of the scene more than once? Trying to understand the different light trails. It's a good concept.
For anyone who's interested, my only shot of the same MiTo is here on flickr

to do that third pic and what we did was.
1. light the car
2. then put the car in reverse and gun it out of shot
3. then drove back into the shot but with the brake lights on
How did you manage to keep yourself out of shot? I've got a relatively similar one of my Megane at the Devils Punchbowl and if you looks closely you can see the top of my head in the car as I was in there flashing lights at one point and then my foot under the drivers door1. light the car
