Hi all

My garage is a mess and could do with a bit of TLC. I am thinking of spashing out a bit to tart it up. Wondered if anyone had any recommendations of local companies that can help with this sort of thing (I'm not much of a DIYer I'm afraid!) I'm in Romsey.

I am thinking of automated roller shutter doors, tiled flooring and some form of shelving solution to tidy up the assorted cr@p that makes it's way into garages (bikes, golf clubs etc)

Any thoughts??

Cheers

Colin

PM doorman on here, he will sort you a door and no doubt have some contacts who could do the rest. He owns Prestige Garage Doors based on Hayling Island.

I've often considered painting the garage floor to keep the dust level down, but I'm far too lazy to do it!

I could definitely do with getting some shelving sorted, as like you, the crap is everywhere and it seems to be spreading in precious car-storage space!

Go the extra mile and tile it.Paint WILL come off, even the 2k epoxy will come up at some point. It cost me <£300 to have mine supplied and laid, and it is still as good today as it was then.I've jacked cars up on it and dropped trolley jacks etc,and still no damage.I have some spare tiles too as I thought something would get damaged by now, then it'd just be a case of chiselling one tile out and replacing the damage.
Once that's done paint the walls white(brightens the place up immensly, then add a few extra striplights, sockets etc.
All cheap stuff but will transform it.
Oh, and a good sound system, and perhaps an intercom to the tea dept of your house and a beer fridge and optics......

Do you have any details of the type of tile you have - and who fitted them?

Like the idea of beer fridge in there too. Add in a comfy sofa, plasma and xbox and I'll never see the wife again!

They were just run of the mill floor tiles from and end of line.I don't think they were anything special(not being a tile expert)I'm afraid I don't have the chap's number given how long ago it was, but DO remember just ringing out of the Thompson.

Not a recommendation but a website with local specialists and a calculator
