I went last year for the first time, something I'd wanted to do for a while, got the chance and had a ball. Well worth going just to experience it, if you don't enjoy it you don't have to go again, I will be back there just not this year, swmbo has other things planned
As mentioned above watch out for the French police, they are a little 'keen', had a close call myself on the way back , having said that we took the 'A' roads on the way down and didn't see many about!

I have wanted to do this for a few years and was hoping to do so this year. Didn't realise it had turned quite as 'chavvy' until I checked Neil's link.
Me neither! Had no idea it had got THAT bad. I was hoping to do something similar to. For now I'm penciled in for the PH Megahoon I reckon unless anything else turns up during the course of the year. Maybe we should schedule something amongst ourselves? A bunch of us lot head down to somewhere for a few days? Enjoy the roads/scenery/drink/women for those that are single Neil.D said:

Take no notice of those who tell you its chav city ! Yes its got its moments but on the whole its a great weekend , we went with Air Track last year about 15 of us all from south and found it no worse than previous years .
We have yet to decide about LM so far this year so can't say if we will all go because we may do the Barcelona GP and then the legend that is Club Bagdad
If we are to do LM i will post up ,and you are more than welcome to tag along .

So my advice if he wants a quiet time avoid that area.

Guess you'll be going in the 7 this year?
If it's still running!
Head gasket blew the other month. Didn't see that bulk cost coming, but it is a rover engine so it was only a matter of time.
I've been mad enough to be driving around with no heater or roof on at the moment. It was -7 this morning and -8 this evening. I was 99% sure the heater matrix was leaking. After trying everything bar making a bloody hole in it myself, I can't get it to drop a drip. I think it'll be going back in, and the roof on!
Fancy the February drive - http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

for anything rover contact xpart direct. i used to work in the parts department for viking rover in hedge end also depending on the engine look at the family of cars and see which has the same engine parts from anouther car in the same family for example
1.8 k series engine is used in the Rover 45's 75's and MG equivalent and the engine is also used in the Land Rover Freelander 1.8. also the later Rovers MG's use BMW engines.
anouther little fact for you for price crasy ness
a rocker hazard switch used in Classic Mini and Land Rover Defender
MINI new switch price from Rover (£5 approximately + vat)
Defender new switch from Land Rover (£45 approximately + vat)
thats a £40 difference but this also works the other way on other parts.
but all the parts come from Xpart
are local main supplier is HARWOODS
pays to contact them
