Men,

Can anyone recommend somewhere to go with the wife, say for a long weekend?

Of course have been to London a few times, but would prefer somewhere quieter like the Cotswolds (for example). Has anyone had any particularly good experiences and could recommend a B+B or good hotel in a cetain area?

Somewhere within a maximum if 3(ish) hours drive of the south coast(Southampton/Portsmouth area) would be ideal.

Thanks in advance,

Neil

A family friend of my parents has a lovely B&B in the Cotswolds I can get you the details for if you like?
It's in Mickleton, just outside Chipping Campden. smile

These two places are absolutely fabulous if you're looking for quiet and within easy reach of the south coast.

Neil not sure what your budget is our what sort of weekend you were looking for but would highly recommend:

http://www.pennyhillpark.co.uk

Its more of a relaxed type of break if you wanted to treat yourself and the Mrs.

As i said not sure if this is what you were after?

If you're looking for something a bit different, then Jersey's a great place to go for a long weekend - beaches, views, castle, excellent zoo, pottery factory, and of course shopping. And only 20 minutes in the air from Southampton - you can hire a car over there. Alternatively you can sail from Portsmouth and take your own motor. My misses loved it.
