All,

At Goodwood (near Chichester) there is an open pit track day on Saturday 30th August. Im not going on the track but could this be a good excuse for another meet?

We could meet up at the Shell garage, top of eastern road (Portsmouth) and travel through the back roads, getting there for say 9am?

There is always a good variety of cars there and you can get grub in the flying school cafe.

Im going down, just wondered if anyone fancied hooking up for the blast.

Put your name down brothers,

This date is fully booked with a couple of reserves already waiting for a vacant space and with regards to the noise I think the only way you have a hope is to get a quiter car hehe
But seriously though, Goodwood has one of the most strict noise policing that you will find and this is not helped ny the fact that the 30.8.08 is a 98db day.
I have an Ultima and know exactly where you are coming from with your excessive noise problem but I think the only answer maybe to look abroad but even certain tracks there are getting tighter on noise polution.

I detect you have been brainwashed a little by the authorities - it's not called 'excessive noise' or 'noise pollution'! wink Heard about Goodwood's electric car noise limits through a Viper Pal's Comp Coupe driving sessions - the exhausts were quietened to 105 to get on that track. Have you gone the quieter route or just opted for the Fighting Torque type events (not sure if one of the Ultima's was yours?)
wink

Not by the authorities but by the officials trackside. I am willing to bet that it is more who you know than what but I am not privilaged to know anyone that can be of help, and you?
My Ultima will almost for sure not see much track work but the car you mention is indeed the one and only LuckyP who indeed will be attending on 30.8.08 in his track friendly wink Porsche 964.

I take it that you are going to Goodwood to spectate as briefing is at 0830, and it is a lloooonnnnnnng one at that ( no, the BRIEFING ).
P and myself are participants and will be going straight to the circuit.
