So is anyone from here planning on going along to this.

The roads down that way are pretty awesome driving roads. Was thinking we could get a group together for a drive down. Its about 80miles from Portsmouth and AA route planner says about 1hour 45mins driving time. Would be a good excuse for a drive and hopefully the weather may be decent by then. What do people think.

Nice one John. I have emailed a few guys i know that arent members on here as well as a few that are so should be able to get a decent group together. There is also a thread on the Surrey/Thames Valley Forum which i have added a post to. Thought if we could get a good group from here organised we could meet those guys on the way. Should be an impressive convoy when we arrive. If there is a decent amount of interest i will start a list and come up with a plan re meet times and location etc.

I'm in definitely...Was kicking myself for missing the last one as it was in my neck of the woods!


328 should be fixed over the next fortnight, I'll then have a chance in keeping up this time

(Failing that i do have a second car again which kind of releases some pressure)!

About time too... A Couple more days of tinkering to get it perfect and we'll be away in a storm of tyre smoke and Stainless roar!

Right then as there seems to be a fair bit of interest i am going to start a list. I am in contact with the Surrey/Thames Valley group re the possibilty of meeting up with them on route and i was thinking the following. If we all meet at the Westbound Rownhams Services (M27/M3) junction and then go up through the back roads to Salisbury we can met them there for the drive down to Yeovil. If anyone has any better ideas let me know. Will leave meet times unitl nearer the date. Feel free to amend the following if i have got anything wrong.

Things hang in the balance at the mo...On the hunt for a new engine for the 328 as the old one will be keeling over shortly.

If anyone hears anything on an engine for 328, please give me a shout! Speaking of which, any news from your mate Soton Pug?

Still here!!! Been playing cam belt adjustment and tuning!!!

No 328 lump Ironic (Sorry - Tried)

Anyone got a fan belt pulley for a 205 Gti in their garage? It's the final stumbling block!!!! Fooking thing feel apart last night whilst refitting (I might have dropped it but i'm not owning up to anything!)

I'm offline for the week before Sunday Service, please can someone keep me in the loop for meeting place and time via PM? The Blackberry will still be on.

Have we decided on a route for this one yet? I've just been looking at the thread posted in the Thames Valley section on this and it would seem that they plan on meeting at Hook (M3) and staying north of the A303 before dropping down to the Motor Museum, so it would seem unlikely that they are going to meet us en route.
