Managed to get there before it started then spent the rest of the time in the flying club by a radiator.
Bet the burger sales were down.

Me and 2 mates got there at 07:20 and left at around 10:00ish. Gave up on the cars as most decided to leave, went off orselves to do some sledging before it melted !!

Just about to get the wheels out to come over when the 'Heavens' opened - if you can describe snow as such. Within 10 mins the roads were a nightmare, so pleased I wasn't half way there. Shame tho, I was looking forward to half a day out!

In fact I was watching you all arrive and it was at that exact time that the snow started. So I blame you lot for it wink

Personally I made 2 mistakes. The first was going when the whole week before they had been warning of snow (I think I actually said "I will believe it when I see it" - d'oh. Second mistake was bottling it and leaving after 45 mins of heavy snow - If I had just waited it out until about 1pm it would have all gone away - honestly back home in Fareham at lunchtime you would have hardly known it had snowed!!!

Double D'oh!

It was uncanny wasnt it? As I drove through the gates I turned the wipers on for the first flurry. paperbag

Mrs Fubes blames me for everything anyway, so you might as well too smile

Wasn't that bad was it........erm.......OK it was.

Still, learned that the back end on the Wedge will step out in 4th gear given the right conditions.

The return trip on the A27 was very tense.

Managed to get a piccie of the Wedge on the starting grid before the white fury hit. just have to get it off the phone now!

Yours was the grey one on the track? Myself and a couple of other Cerb owners decided, as we had bothered to make our way there, to brave the snow for one lap of the cars. We were standing a few feet away from yours as you started it up to warm the engine ready for the off.

My first TVR was a white 350i and seeing/hearing yours got me all dewy eyed with fond memories wink
(was also the first car I attempted carrying out maintenance on, took the skin off my knuckles and vowed NEVER to do that again and pay a professional in future!) hehe

Moonstone Blue I'll have you know!!! Grrr wink

Yeah, that was me - love it to bits!

I don't get dirty. I don't have the time, skill or space. Do you know anyone who'll do a scrape and spray on the chassis locally? The snow may have brought my calendar forward hehe

Well, all that pi55y snow made everything, even my yellow Cerb, look grey (ok, not really, just getting myself out of a hole wink)

When I got to about 200 yards from the entrance about 8.20 I was met by a stream of Lotus's going in the opposite direction.
Not a sign of snow then, must of known something the rest didn't.

One of my favourite lines from a movie is appropriate here.

American Graffitti (sp?)

"What colour is that, looks like a cross between pi55 yellow and puke green."

hehe
