The manifold on my Rover-P6-2200-that's-in-the-Healey-for-short-term is cracked and I'd like to braze it / get it brazed up - it only needs to last til autumn when the original (Riley) engine should be ready.

I should have a carbon arc attachment for the arc welder, but I haven't used it for years and am bcensoredd if I can find it!

If anyone can do it for me (happy to pay for this!) or point me in the direction of someone who can I'd be grateful.

Thanks
John

PS no I can't easily find a replacement, unless of course you have one....

There's a tiny industrial estate just north of the Twineham / Hickstead turnoff off the A23 going in the direction of Burgess Hill. There's a bloke in there who can weld / braze anything

Failing that I'd ask Alan Robertson (MB / BMW specialist in Hove) if he can do it. 01273 770838

I've used Bells in Hollingbury, Brighton for the last few years, and most of my BIB colleagues use them too. They're opposite Asda, just off the A27 at the north tip of Brighton:

Bell's Garage
Unit B2 Enterprise Estate Crowhurst Road
Brighton East Sussex BN1 8AF
Tel: 01273 540939

Absolutely top-notch service and very keen pricing yes

I tried to find him, and was told by one of the garages that he's moved to Spain, so there's either a shortage of welders in Spain, or they get paid too much here and can retire there!

Thanks anyway!
