Got a mate with a Ginetta G27 and a 2.0l Duratec ready to go in it. It's been at a garage since July 2007 and they haven't touched the car apart from removing the old Pinto lump. He's at the end of his tether with them and wants to get another garage to do the job. Can anyone recommend somewhere in Southampton or the South east that could do the job? The original plan was for the car to be ready in time for Le Mans but that's looking less likely all the time.

Try MotorSport Services in Swanmore, SO32 2PB (c10 miles NE Soton).

Despite the name a lot of their stuff is routine road car repair and servicing but they've done work for me on a couple of cars and I've been happy with service and price. Also do some race prep and general motorsports participation. And a recovery truck to get your mate from Soton out to the sticks

Not fussed, but some one with an experience of a maybe not 100% straightforeward engine swap would be helpfull.

It’s my car we are talking about. Thanks for the recommendations, I will give motorsport services a ring in the next few days. I hope they will be more helpful than my current garage furious. Please keep other suggestions coming as I need all the help I can get.

Thanks spin
