Recently acquired a Chimaera 400biggrin and wondering if anyone recommends a garage in the Horsham area who specialises in TVRs or knows a bit about them.
Not keen to go to a TVR dealer as I'm sure that would be costly.
If they're good with Scoobies I could get the other car serviced there too!
Thanks chaps!

Big Al.

I can recommend Ferhurst's at well…… Fernhurst! Just north of Midhurst.

You can find them in the PH advertisers section.

Austec Racing in Crawley & Dave Batty at 'The Garage' in Guildford are both TVR specialists and are both excellent.

There is nobody actually in Horsham.

Thanks for that....and do you feel that a 96 Chimaera needs a TVR specialist or would any trustworthy experienced mechanic be able to manage?

With the amount of Foibles a TVR has it's a specialist every time for me.

I'd hate to imagine how long a non-TVR trained mechanic would have taken to sort out a few of my niggles and consequently how much the labour charge would have been.

Christ, another TVR in Horsham. Is Horsham the new Blackpool? wink

Fernies are very good, used them for servicing my Griff. Now use Austec over in Crawley, as has been said, for my Cerb.

There is a place (or used to be) in Foundray Lane who looked after my 350i way back when, sports car specialists (rolleyes) but you are better off with a TVR specialist IMO.

Any pics of your car Auto? Where abouts in Horsham are you? (no need to be too specific)

Need to know what/who to keep an eye out for smile

Hi Nick

Think I might know you from the dim and distant past?
Might you have had a penchant for creating nice black lines across the car park at Collyers in your dad's Volvo 760 Turbo about, ahem, 10 years ago or so when we attended?!
I had a very sporty (choke) sh1t brown Metro 1.0!!
Think I've seen you in the Cerb- does stand out a bit- a beauty!

I'm in West Horsham but car is under covers most of the week and I use the Scooby mostly.
Only had the Chim 2+ weeks.
Pics are now uploaded to "My Cars" but couldn't get it to upload to my front page thing for some reason.

Blimey paperbag

Cant place you chap but I did sometimes turn up in the old man's Volvo, but wasnt a Turbo. Did have a black Escort Turbo when at Collyers and before that a nice orange Beetle which was the car that I got banned from the car park in. First student to ever get banned apparantly biggrin (according to DJ Arnold...tosser!) LoL

Yeah, you cant miss the Cerb wink

Be good to catch up smile

Could have sworn it was a turbo but you should know. Certainly spun it's rears with ease I recall.
I used to hang out with Stu Reeves, Nick McGrath, Steve Wright, Sean Taylor amongst others- remember any of them?
