With berks like that in the council, it's no wonder the town is so screwed. We should have voted for someone with two brain cells to bang together.

Building the Wallisdown relief road extension would help a lot, but of course it would pass right by Talbot Woods wouldn't it? Not that all those rich people own Bournemouth Council of anything...

I used to live in Bournemouth (Hampshire) in 1972 when you could drive all the way up Commercial Road towards the triangle from The square..(Pre pedestrianisation).........

Also Harry Mears continental cinema in Winton used to show some really hot films..yikes.....hehe

Those were the days.......cloud9

Councillor Burden obviously knows his stuff, during the last 9 years he's been an advisor we have a multitude of bus lanes slowing traffic/ unneeded traffic lights and speed cameras!!! oh and the blessed traffic calming.

I think the council should use the carpark at Hengistbury head for a park system and have a monorail from there to poole along the cliff edge. stopping at Boscombe Bournemouth and at a couple of other points on the way to shore road drop off. This would get all the people who hate driving and the grockles off the road and reduce congestion for those of us who commute into Poole and B'mth to work.

Just my 10cents......... rant over.

All I can say is that I visited Bournemouth about 18 months ago (thought I'd stop by on my way to Southampton) and it was an absolute nightmate to try and drive through. One way systems with no logic to them, awful sinage and virtually the entire town centre seems to be shut off to traffic. It's a shame; I was looking forward to seeing the place, but in the end I was glad to get shot of it
