Almost certain to be there.
Was packed last year so an early start is called for.

I'll be going subject to the weather. What sort of time would you suggest Steve?

Hi Paul
You will need to be there before 9am if you want to park in the square. If you are there to display, and don't mind being trapped for most of the day, then fine but otherwise I would find somewhere roadside to park and walk in.
Can also get rather cold if you intend to stay any length of time. Must remember to fill a thermos this year.

Hi,
Tell me more!!
What goes on?
I assume its the same Wickham that I know of - just outside Fareham Hants?
I'm only in Gosport and probably up for a spin in the MK Indy as long as it not peeing down :-)
Not lived here long so not heard of any local traditions

Rob

This is a long standing Boxing Day meet. It has no allegiances as far as i know and just about anything will turn up. Breaking down last year in order of numbers I would say vintage& classic cars, military then bikes formed the bulk but the remainder included horse drawn, steam traction engines and all sorts.
The whole square becomes packed so once you are in you are there for the duration unless you park up at one end or the other.

Look out for my Yellow Ultima.

Certainly will look out for you (I guess easily spotted in the yellow Ultima!) and will say Hi!
I will more than likely be in "Sweet PeaII" 7 - BRG with yellow nose A'La Prisoner
When you say "stuck for the duration".. What time does it thin out based on last years experience?
Are there usually stalls selling grub and brews or is it a bring your own job?

It sounds good for a day out
Hopefully see you there
Will pop a thing on Locostbuilders forum to see if the other localish 7'ers know of its exhistance

Rob

Last year I had a meal to go too but being at the southern end of the carpark I managed to progressively work my way out but it still took about 40 minutes with various people moving their cars a few inches to make a gap big enough.
I would estimate it will still be packed middle to late afternoon. If I get the chance I will park that end again but have no plans to leave early this year.

What a top meet :-)

Couldn't believe the diversity of vehicles there
Worth getting up for

Nice to meet you Steve, car looks awesome

Saw another MK Indy 7- blue with fireblade engine?
Tried to find you after you parked up to see if you knew about the New Forest meets (second tuesday evening of every month at Cadnam) and wether you were on the locostbuilders forum?
You had managed to get out somehow without me catching up with you- it must have had VTOaL fitted to get out!

OK its at the Sir John Barleycorn pub
(just off jn 1 M27 1st left, 1st left)
Watch out as sometimes theres boys in blue with hairdryers along the road
(though think its usually summer when the 2 wheelers are more prominent)

Next meet should be on Tuesday (as it is the second Tuesday of the month)
Usually there for about 7:30 8pm till everyone gets bored or kicked out

Keep an eye on locostbuilders.co.uk as theres usually a reminder goes on there

(have just found this address on the net)
Old Romsey Road,
Cadnam,
Hampshire
SO40 2NP

Well,its kind of a Locost7 meet,
- but we have had a BEC Fisher Fury turn up once and one of the others I think has started a cobra replica

You would certainly be welcomed, as we are all petrol heads
You may need an overall coating of Rain-X*, if that works with drool :-)
I have been known to 'gatecrash' other marques meets myself just as an excuse to get out and play

Next meet is 13th Feb - see you there perhaps?
(*the car rather than youself)

Rob
