Hello Craig

The White Horse at Chilgrove (on the Downs just north of Chichester) is nice on a sunny day.

What part of Sussex Craig? West/East? North part of the counties? (Gatwick/Horsham etc) or South Downs (Brighton/Chichester etc) or in the middle?

NB Most of these are in West Sussex, with the exception of Brighton.

Hi Craig,

You could head for Alfriston on the outskirts of Eastbourne. Picture postcard village with a few pubs/small hotels. You can pick the A22 up from Purley or the M25 and follow it most of the way down. The George Inn have some very nice rooms, particularly if you get in the original part of the building rather than the extension.
