It is excellent, but was nasty one day going up in the semi-wet in the TVR... hardly any grip at all under those trees. Play safe

Or a couple of police cars...

There's enough Dorset for all... just don't steal my wellies.

Where do you live? I'm near Sherborne.

Hi Gi,

Sorry to butt in but I was living in Yeovil till about seven years ago.

Now in Bristol but I know your neck of the woods very well. My in-laws and my step-family are both from Sherborne....

Was used twice on one of the Dorset Dawdle runs - can't remember which now but was much more fun the second time as a fair number of drivers had not been up it before the first time. As I was leading, I had fun both times

Do you still have the route plans?

I'd be quite interested to see them. I hope to create a few routes myself with interesting things to see along the way - but maybe I've missed a great road you know about...

Bob has kindly supplied his excellent routes to me as Dorset TVRCC RO. We will hopefully be using them over the summer for various runouts.

Went on the road from Wimborne, through Sixpenny Handley/Tollard Royal and down zig zag to Shaftsbury - this is a truly splendid route, and on a summers day like today, it is second to none. Everyone coming down south should try out this route.....oh, and the A272 & the coast road from Weymouth to Bridport. Any others ????

Take care Bob! That Tuscan of yours looks very tail happy! Unfortunately I'll be at Le Mans otherwise I'd be taking you up on that ride that I was too "injured" to undertake at Pistonfest... doh!

I came south on ZigZag hill last bank holiday Monday on the way back from Castle Combe and it was empty! Woo hooo! A simply blissful experience...

The "DORSET DAWDLE PEDWAR"

The most fun I ever had in a company Astra SRi (I`m sure you`ll remember me,Bob!!) Also the Father-in-Law in the first Noble on your Runs!

The run has been recreated by me and the Boloc`s in the Elise forum many times! You truly are the PLANNER!

Broke down halfway up it once when I had my MG. Interesting road ... prefer the bit afterwards though as you head up toward Compton Abbas ...
