A272 about the best piece of road around, if it's empty! it's still pretty good if it's not!

Closer to home Longfurlong! Relatively short drive but again magic if it's empty.

Hello from a fellow resident

I would have to say Titnore Lane as a favorite

Then onto Long Furlong and back through the Valley

Other than that, they have put those stupid 50mph speed limits everywhere that used to be fun and the traffic means you can't even exploit that

P.S. Love the car Jim, my dad races an old Lotus Tincorner.

BigAl, I shall be keeping an eye out for that beauty over the summer If you see a bloke hanging out of a Focus giving it the universal 'revvit' signal, that's me

Hehe, cheers :J:, although i obviously haven't updated my profile, the mk1 monster is now long gone i shall miss her, but onto bigger and better things. When i got rid of her, my brother had done a lot of work to her.. 1700 X-flow, twin 40's, straight thru exhaust (with 3 cherry bombs!) single leaf springs etc etc, basically his race engine from last year! dyno'd at 140bhp

Currently riding in (as Matt pointed out ) an Audi A4 Avant 2.8 Quattro

However... hopefully soon the Audi will too be for pastures new. to be replaced by? ... another Audi! but an S4 this time!

Matt, how u doing you tart! as u see, still got the audi and loving the 99RON but hopefully getting something with a little more kick soon...ish. Gimme a shout sumtime and we'll go for that beerski.

good shout on the routes guys, A272 is a corker, not done that one for a while. going a bit further afield a route i've done is A24 to storrington, through there, out the otherside, back down towards Arundel (i forget which road it is but its good fun... just watch out for the crests!) then back along A27. need some new routes though, mighthave to give the 272 a run later.

cheers for the posts guys, keep em coming!

Ultima !!

OMG, what a car, I have never seen a road car munch the pit straight at Goodwood quicker than one of those !!

Does anybody know of any local(ish) motoring events/meets this weekend ?

I'm good thanks jim defo on that beer. are you getting the 2.7 s4? avant again? do they do them in cornflower blue?

:J: - I was wondering the same thing. not sure if goodwood have any interesting trackdays? if anyone knows of anything good shout

it's good to see so many people locally - i will definitely be looking out for the ultima & tuscan!

also roadwise i remember the a303 from the m3 to honiton being a bit of an epic. had to go down to the west country last summer and it was a great drive.

cheers

Certainly am Matt, i'm after a B5 chassis (98-2002) S4 - 2.7 ltr V6 Bi-Turbo. Saloon this time rather than the Avant.

Should be good for 275bph, 0-60mph in 5.6 secs

Watch this space...

BigAl: i am suitably jelous, the Tuscan is one of my, if not the favourite TreVoR... gorgeous! and what a noise! i shall be keeping my eyes and ears open for that one. Just out of curiosity, you dont happen to have a son called Craig and a daughter called Lisa do you? i only ask as i know a brother and sister who's dad has a tuscan?!

TTFN.
Jim.

There is a day at the Wood on Monday organized by the GCCR.I will be there to give my support to a pal of mine,Kev Phillips, who will be taking part in his first club event in a Birkin(imaginatively nick named the 'Gerkin'as it is green and you've guessed it,shaped a little bit like a Gerkin).Look out for a black M3 with roll cage and 18"Compomotives in the car park, thats me.

I've just signed up to be on call for Monday, can't be more than 5 mins from my house

Maybe I'll pop over and if they call, I can just lie, rofl....
