Rather than stay in a Premier Travel Inn, are there any good pubs/hotels which do B&B as I will be returning south for a few days (a week maybe) in a couple of weeks.

There is a hotel in Wickham itself Bob but can't remember the name right now. (presume you mean the Wickham just north of Fareham).

I'd try and get a hotel walking distance from Wickham Bob as you'll enjoy a few pints in that area

In fact, just stay at Mark's place!

if work are paying you may want to look at "new place" about a mile outside. Cant find their website but heres a link to some details www.laterooms.com/en/S3060.html

There is a B&B in Bishop's Waltham which is about 3 miles North of Wickham on the main road through.
Brent Villa - 01489 890188, not sure what it is like myself but sure some guys from work used to stay there regularly. Several pubs fairly close too!!

About 1.5 miles from Wickham there's a Marriot Hotel "The Meon Valley", prob more pricey for sure but quite nice with bar, pool, gym etc

When you are in the area, let us know. Sure we can round up a few local PH'ers for a beer or two Shnozz??

There is a new Travel Lodge in Portchester/Port Solent on the old A27, but b-all in the way of home comforts locally!

How about a beer on the 22nd November then to welcome me back to the south coast ?

I will be staying in Southsea that week so somewhere around there would be good.
