The agents I've spoken to so far are useless.

Any further recommendations since my last post on a similar subject?

Cheers

Looking for somewhere within a long walk from the town centre. Triangle area, up to Cemetry Junction and round to Eastcliff.

I have to agree. It's incredibly frustrating as theres no chance in hell that I'm going to pay asking price, yet he doesn't listen when I say its overpriced (done research).

Idiot...

I've found a solution though - I'm writing to my landlord and will try and do a deal with him. So instead of accepting £300 less commission on his flat, the estate agent is getting nothing! idiot

I've always used Roberts in Charminster. Director is Nigel Goddard - seems ok, actually knows his stuff, and he's into his motors

I was going to use him to rent out my place, although I've managed to do it privately

Have you tried www.nethouseprices.com ? Lists all the actual sale prices, rather than the inflated asking prices. Search by road, postcode or area, very good

Roberts have a very very bad reputation down here with Students in regards to keeping deposits

We were told to avoid at all costs if possible!

Really? Not heard that myself, but it's been a while since I was a student.

Oddly enough I've got a double room to rent in my house Charminster - send me a PM if you're interested!

Not really looking any more. Got fed up looking at places that were far less than what I'm currently renting.

My salary should be doubled by early next year so I'll wait till then and get a larger mortgage.

Yeah not used them myself. Nigel must drive the SL55. Or had he got the blue Maserati now?

I'm sorted for a house at the moment. Got a lovely place on Shelbourne Road.
