I welcome the use of public highway for motorsport.

A shame it’s the same weekend as the Goodwood members meeting.
Argh. that is a bummer. That's almost worth moving the Sprint.
I would have gone over if it didn’t clash and I’m sure there’s many like me.

Agreed. It’s a shame as I bet those running the trial have taken years to work on this and when originally publishing the date had no conflictions but the F1 calendar changed and so Goodwood moved back a week.

I've asked the IOWCC if they are considering a change of date.I would have gone over if it didn’t clash and I’m sure there’s many like me.

I learned the registrations are open on facebook this morning.
Nothing on their Facebook page, something from September saying "registrations open soon" but nothing recent.Huntsman said:
It is defo on the Isle of Wight Car Club favebook page. I just checked and there it is, I'm not able to link from face book on my phone.
Brilliant, Thanks

The post only went up at mid day because like you I looked and nothing. Nothing in their upcoming events or on their website.
It was defo on facebook at 9.33 when I posted as that's how I knew and I came straight to PH to share it, not that it matters a jot. What does matter, is that a small local motor racing club are putting on a sprint, on the public highway, in a fab location, on an Island that supports visitors very well. Great news for us all.

I think it's quite funny that the organising clubs the one promoting entries being open and not SolentCo the company promoting the event What does matter, is that a small local motor racing club are putting on a sprint, on the public highway, in a fab location, on an Island that supports visitors very well. but still, i'm entered, paid, booked and looking forward to it

We'll be at GRRC member meeting on the Saturday and then home late, for Sunday at the speed trial.
