I’ve spotted a nail in my tyre (right in the middle) the majority of it looks to be out and bent over so I’m hoping it’s not put a hole in the tyre.

However I’m not wanting to risk pulling it out so can anyone reccomend somwehere that does repairs in the Portsmouth / Fareham area.

Also my wheels are black and last time I was at ProTyre Fareham they got scratched so would like to avoid there.

Turnpike tyres, Fareham, will plug it, re-balance it, and charge you £20.

The plug will need a couple of hours to vulcanise, there's a Sainsburies opposite with lousy coffee but good scrambled eggs.

Good shout, the parents are nearby so could pay them a visit.

Avoid Kwik-Fit like the plague - absolute jokers in my experience.

Think my other half has used ProTyre in Hilsea

A friend also recommended turnpike. Just popped over there, they had a bit of difficulty jacking my car due to the huge sideskirts but confirmed the nail hadn’t gone through checked all my tyre pressures and wanted nothing for the privilege!

I know my dad gets his tyres there but I’m now sold on the service.
