...bad idea? leaving about 6pm, roughly a 4 hour journey.

that's what I'm concerned about, especially with a dog in the car, don't really want to get stuck!

we're going for the weekend, but looks like it will be a waste of time anyway really. snow Thursday / Friday and then rain Saturday / Sunday.

Don't really want to sit at home either as will feel bad about not doing jobs!
