My daughter has outgrown her bike and looking online she saw the Wiggins range of bikes. It is within my price range and comes from Halfords. I've heard mixed reviews about how they set up bikes in Halfords and was wondering if anyone has a branch in the Poole/Bournemouth area that they could recommend.
Thanks.

How old is your daughter? Have you considered a Frog bike, available from the bike shop / coffee shop down in Lilliput? Cheaper than an IslaBike and in my opinion, just as good.

Not sure I would trust Halfords to change a bike tyre due to the variability of service.

She has a Frog bike, but has grown out of it. I would buy another without hesitation, but she had chosen the Wiggins and I don't want to discourage her from cycling by buying her a bike she doesn't want.

Had a bike from Bournemouth Halfords (admittedly a long time ago), and no issues (although I only managed to ride it a few times before it got nicked frown ). From past experience I've found staff at the Bournemouth store seem to be generally more competent than some of the others in the area.

Appreciate she wants a Wiggins bike, but it might be worth taking her elsewhere first and see if anything else takes her fancy. Me & Mrs ZS bought road bikes from Primera Sports (Poole) who were very helpful getting us (as complete novices) set up. We probably ended up there for most of the morning but didn't feel rushed.

ETA: Saying that, if it's definitely the Wiggins bike then it might be worth going to Halfords by yourself first, have a chat with someone there and get a feel for the place (if it's not too much out the way)?
