Been recommended Ray West Tuning at Thruxton for 4 wheel alignment, but price is a lot more than I was expecting.

Any other PH members dealt with the outfit?

This is to review a skittish 135i running on Birds B1 suspension and MPSS tyres.

Ray West are a very well know tuner and workshop. The price reflects their well earned reputation and people will trip over hand and foot to get a car seen by them. The Veyron that attends Vmax is tuned by Ray West I believe so he's not shy of experience. It's your call at the end of the day.

Fair comment and sounds like they seriously know they're stuff. £260 quote

Not sure whether to spend big or find a decent 4 wheel alignment place in the south with a hunter setup.. Or go to Nick in Southampton who uses SuperTracker

I've only got a boring 135i lol

I would spend £50 with Nick first and see how you get on.

I think christurch tyres use a hunter. Lots of people I know have used them with no issues

Will try and give him a call, running out of hours at moment due to the inconvenience of work!

If it's a different set up some places can't cope due to inputting the standard details into their systems and your set up isn't standard.
Harwoods in Chichester have a good set up and worth a try.

Depends whether you are after tracking or set up and looking at weights/ride height etc.

If it is tracking Nick is very good with lots of experience on all sorts and if youre unhappy it can be readjusted. He did my E46 with suspension and it's been great.

both will be worth the cash. Just depends what you want to do.

Yeah I'll try and get over to Nick when work doesn't get in the way.

Micheldever tyres have a great alignment bay, and an operator who knows what he's doing. They'll also dial in whatever you want, rather than just stock. Free check, and £25 per adjustment. Always been spot on.

Ray West are very well known and look after some very exotic machinery. He has a superb reputation.

I've been there on a rolling road day and they tested my car just fine however I can't comment any further as that's my only experience.

I chatted to him for a while and he seemed like a top guy! smile
