South Coast Fibreglass repair
Discussion
So, the badger cull wasn't exhaustive enough so I bagged one with the Cerbera.
Damage doesn't look too bad I suppose considering the motorway speeds impact but anyone recommend somewhere who knows what they are doing? Or perhaps think it's salvageable as a home repair? The only other damage I can see at the moment is a lateral crack in front of the splitter underneath.
I've never tried to repair glass fibre so if anyone has some tips (or wants to lend a hand) I'd be very grateful

Probably looks worse than it is Martin. In fact you were the first chap I thought of for lending a hand
Didn't you graft the front of your Wedge back on yourself? If you want to pop round and have a close look you'd be very welcome (I've also got that unrelated bonnet hinge repair to do).

Bad news mate. I had a very lucky escape traveling back from Bath on Saturday. Stoopid bloody Pheasant decided to try & out run the Cerbera. Why don't they just fooking fly off???? (This one did, only after my bonnet acted as a Royal Navy style ski ramp)
Anyhow, the guys at the fibreglass works next to the workshop know their stuff. Andy out in the yard works for himself and may be able to help.

Did some work to detach the lower bumper on the wedge as someone had, shall we say, deseamed the joint! Always a brave day when you take a cutting wheel to your pride and joy!
I am happy to have a look, although my area of composites is sticking them to bridges and buildings so not quite the same level of finesse required!
Have you checked what is available in terms of repair panels, as it may be worth considering putting a new section in, not sure where the edges to the panel on the cerbera are so that may not be a cost effective option, but worth checking.
Are you around during the day on Thurs pm or Friday am?

Worth getting Fernhursts to have a look?
They ship them out to local places - so will go direct to them.Just been to see Martin and I think we agree a decent home repair is probably not on the cards so it'll have to go somewhere, I'll start ringing round.
We did notice that it's also bent the radiator - bit of a surprise!

I'd personally take it to a someone that specialises in these sort of repairs as there's quite a bit of work there just to do that small repair. They're going to need to clean up all the external split fibreglass, then reline the damaged area and fix that in place so the glass work can be done. To do the glass work you need to have access to the internal part of the damage so that will probably require the rad to be removed and maybe even the bonnet. After this it will then need to be filled, sanded and painted.
I use to work with fibreglass many years ago but never did repair work on cars so these are only my views from looking at your picture.
Hope this helps.

Saw Dean today Darren, decent bunch of chaps there, all came for a poke around. He took some pics and is getting back to me.
Suppose the good news is I dropped in to my MOT place too and he says as long as I duck tape up over the cracks it won't fail in that.
So 'The Slayer' battles on - even with a bent radiator!
