Just seen two Typhoons coming into land at Bournemouth airport. There
had been a lot of Chinook action and some Tornados recently.
Air show prep or something else? Any ideas?

Just been up there and got chatting to some ground crew.
It is the build up for the attack on Syria. Also saw two piper cubs and a Cessna bombed up and ready to go.
They have also been attending air shows etc.It is the build up for the attack on Syria. Also saw two piper cubs and a Cessna bombed up and ready to go.

Surely if they were ready to go to Syria, wouldn't they be at an airbase instead of a passenger airport?

(I do not know anything about the RAF!)

There is only one complete Typhoon in existence. You'd need to go to the RAF museum at Hendon to see it....I've always wanted to go I will now that I know that .
Excuse my terrible photo. It is all I can find from my visit in 2005.
