We got dragged into the Corvette Garage by the Team Boss to 'arrest' their driver. We had a bit of a laugh with him and managed to wander out the back of their garage to the rest of the pit garages. Talk about jammy b
ds!!! (But we had to dress as total fools to achieve it though!!!) Haha

Tyres are remarkably in good nick to be honest! I was expecting them to be pretty trashed by the end of the trip. If you have any of those smokey pics i'd love to see them. Thanks for being part of it mate, all who attended were a hoot to be around.A few of us know exactly how they got there as well.

Actually, about that bit of sideways stuff there: to back up what the 007 Aston owner said about the track when he drove the parade lap, it is really, really slippery on there. Ivor (my passenger) and I thought at one point that we had a puncture coming back down the S-bend from Dunlop bridge. On closer inspection the tyres had picked uploads of rubber off the track and the treads were packed nearly full. As a result, at first the rear tyres were just sliding around on the greasy surface and suddenly getting traction once they got hot. Suppose its as a track tyre would do once warm. Pretty difficult to keep the back end out as a result.

Yes, I was hoping to take my car down to the start grid and take some photos.................

Oh, and I see chummy in the R8 got pulled then, probably the same guy in the R8 that came past us just outside of Rouen!
