Dear PH'ers,

Very sorry for the begging request and I'm prepared for the flaming as these threads rightly deserve!

I'm looking to cadge a lift in something nice/old/strange/exotic/weird/etc. for my 16yr old daughter (careful now!) to get her school prom (used to be a disco in the school hall in my day) at Chilworth Manor from Woolston on 27th June. Yes, I'm a crap Dad and have left it until just a week before to sort something.

My crappy Honda Boredom doesn't cut the mustard these days and she's not too keen on the work's Transit either (fussy kids).

If anyone can help out, I'm sorry but there's no vitual pint offered in return.

However, I can offer a real pint in the onboard bar on the below tall ship and a tour for friends and/or family one evening when in it's Southampton (lots of dates from Sept onwards). Some of you may remember the ship from the PH Tall Ship Sunday Service a couple of years back.

Many thanks.

Happy to offer, but don't think an old 7 series is quite what you're after hehe

best of luck

That is a pretty nice Porsche going on your DP. Something a bit more original than stretch limos and stretch Hummers!!

Thank you

May I bite your arm off for the help next on Thursday?

I think a bright yellow porsche fits the bill perfectly. Thank you so much.

Andy

Nothing wrong with an old 7 series.

mmmmmmm - noisy!

Anyway, to both of you, many thanks, I think the young lass would prefer the bright yellow option, you know what girls are like.

When I repay the favour and sort out the ship visit day, you are welcome to come along too as my thanks for offering to help. Pint on me. Will let you know the date when sorted.

Again, thanks
Andy

Thank you.

I'll PM you tomorrow to chat detail (when tonight's beer has evaporated...). Just a drop off needed, She can 'slum it' in the Honda on the way home.

A good friend of ours has a 50's Chevy and a couple of other old Yank tanks he uses for Prom do's.
Don't know if he is available but his cars are superb
