Bit of an odd question (the second part!). I've got an interview on Friday in Southampton. I don't have the use of a car sadly, so will have to make the trip on my bike. However I don't want to turn up for an interview in my bike gear!

I'm going to SO14 1JU (Handover Buildings, however not sure if thats the name of the road, or the name of the building yet!).

I don't really want to use a public toilet, but was thinking maybe a swimming pool or something if need be? Unless someone knows of anywhere better!

Parking as well would be nice, does anyone know of anywhere local to park?

Infact parking should be OK, just around the corner from West Quay.

Do West Quay have lockers still? I could have sworn I remember seeing big lockers when I went there years ago.

Thanks smile.

The Quays swimming complex has lockers in there that are relatively big, plenty of bike parking outside too.

Can't quite place where Hanover Buildings is, but there's a shortcut up the side of the West Quay car park onto the High Street so everything is within walking distance from there.

Hanover Buildings is a street, from Debenhams to the Bargate. Hanover House is a building there. Debenhams probably have toilets; if so, you can get changed there if it's open.

If you look on Street View, there's motorcycle parking outside Debenhams on Houndwell Place, but the place next door is where they do DSA hazard perception testing, so it might be busy. Otherwise West Quay.

I work on the high street (A Plan). You can park bike on high street the other side of the road from HSBC.

As for changing we have an open plan office so probably not best, there is a gym also on high street (above Tesco metro) maybe worth a cheeky £5 will even get you a shower. If its around 2pm my lunch time then fancy a pint??

Good luck with the interview

Thanks for the offer. My interview is at 10, but want to get there for around 9.30. If I am to that would be great smile.

I have to leave for work at about 7:45 latest sorry so can't do a lot unless you came early frown

I would give you the spare key to lock up after yourself but not sure whether I would want to do that for someone I have never met I shall have a think...

I would probably give you the spare key to be honest as you could just post it throught the letterbox. You wont need my fob to get your bike out the store as someone decided to rip the gate down the other day...

However you would need to be here by 7:30 so if you cannot find another option let me know smile

As said if you want they is a gym called fit space I believe on the high street just apply for a one day trial take a shower and then walk to the interview it is probably 15/20 minutes approx I would say as only need to go near debenhams

I didn't go to the interview in the end. I needed to fill in an application for a job that I want more.

Plus they didn't seem to know too much about it when I asked for some more information. Don't really want to turn up for a interview when they can't tell me what the job is!
