Think I already know the answer to ths one really, but is it even feasible to repair this?

From a friend's 147, following some pothole action.

If the answer is yes/maybe, any recommendations in the Havant area? smile

Speak to the wheel specialists. My Dad dropped a similar wheel off to their Ferndown branch and they seemed positive in sorting it.

The Wheel Specialist are great, but I heard the otehr day that Hampshire COunty Council also have a 'little pot' for compensating people for damage caused by potholes! Not sure how true it is as it was an 'in the pub' chat with someone, but he knew a mate who had a mate who got a new set of wheels when he challenged them about it.

Worth a shot!

Yep, that's them. They have a few branches.

I've also heard that the council will replace wheels damaged by potholes. Got to be worth a go.

Cool, thanks. Certainly worth a try with the council too.

Years ago when I lived in Surrey I buckled a wheel on a pot hole and claimed for a new wheel and part cost of tyre. They try and get out of it.

I went and took a picture of the hole with a ruler in it to prove the depth. When I called them, the next morning it was temp filled. So make sure you get evidence before hand

I've done this in the past (20+ years ago), but due to the massive increase in claims most councils are putting up quite a fight - best check here to see if it's worth it - http://www.potholes.co.uk/

Fixed, good recommendation chaps.... so good in fact, that he'd already taken it to them smile

Turns out that's where he got the wheels powder coated originally, so figured they'd know what to do.

Anyway, all sorted smile
