I’m looking for suppliers, ideally local.
1. A company who can machine a gearbox to engine adaptor plate in aluminium.

2. A company who can turn some small parts in steel.

3. A company who can laser cut items in 3mm mild steel.

Would be splendid if this turned out to be one company.

Many thanks
Steve

Speak to Frontline in Ferndown. My friend worked there for 10 years. I've had things made by them, excellent work.

Tony is a top fella, Havent seen him for ages!

There is a small company a the top of Brook Lane in Park Gate, R S Tooling, http://www.rstoolingltd.com/2410/frames.php Also one in Duncan Road, Park Gate called MOJ Enginering http://www.mojengineering.co.uk/what-we-do.asp

Have used RS and they are a small but very helpful company, didnt think they were too expansive either. <OJ is a much larger company that I have no experience of.

Thanks for the responce and suggestions.

I'm working on the drawings for the small parts and we are half way through understanding the constraints for the Engine/gearbox adaptor plate.

I'll be making some contacts shortly.

my father is a majority shareholder and the MD in this company

if you phone up asking for a quote saying you're a friend of Ross's, they might be able to give you a deal. Ask to speak to a chap called Stuart...my father is away on holiday at the moment so isn't there.

they may be quite expensive for a small number of parts though, but no harm asking!
