Brighton Speed Trials
Discussion
On Saturday the 11th September it's the Brighton Speed Trials. It's a 1/4 mile drag racing event.
Is anyone going?

I'm in the Handicap race. I don't expect to break any records or bring home any silverware, but I do hope to 'raise the tone' in the C2 class (1400-2000cc).

I'm going too - posted a BST thread on general motorsport - should have looked at this one first.
I'm car 199 - not expecting to win but the atmosphere is great and we get to play in front of a lot of people!
Can't wait!

I remember being invited to a private/charity trackday at Goodwood a few years back, Mr Frost turns up in his F50, followed by a transporter with a then brand new F355 Spider and 2 Elises(Elie?:sratchchin

Back then, my dad ran a turbocharged Formula Vee (VW beetle engine) which he'd built out of bits sourced from the scrap yard Turbo from a Subaru for £25 running through a Morris Ital carb for £8 etc. He beat the F50 with a 12 sec 1/4 mile in a car costing less than a grand!
Hope the rain stops soon
