Yes, this is South Coast specific so please dont whisk me off to the AMG section mods.

Has anyone been to MB World for any of their driving experiences? Im considering the AMG thrash for my 30th b'day. Any other recomendations other than the usual supercar day? I did an R8 track day back in 2007 and loved it (bought my RS6 as a result) but having already done one im looking for something more extensive.

I'd love to. Its a damn shame nobody does track days featuring M5's as i'd prefer to thrash on of thiers rather than mine.

I did the hour long AMG experience with 5 laps in an SLS.

I chose this experience for my 40th birthday this year as I'm local and it's my first and I had a fantastic time.

I did the 1hour experience in an SL63 a couple of years ago.

You start off doing some straight line acceleration and braking stuff, then move on to a demonstration of all the electronics on there wet road section. Then its onto the low grip circle for some drift practice, and finally some laps on the circuit.

I think its good value, with plenty of driving for your money compared to some supercar driving experiences that mates have been on. But if you're used to an M5 already, then you might want something a bit more hardcore.

I'm quite tempted by an Atom hire but it would be at the risk of me having to buy one straight after. Need that fix.

I did one last month in an SL500 had a great time and the showroom/museum was worth a look around too. The skid pan is good, thought I was doing really well until the instructor chap turned the TC off, turns out I was actually st.....

Yes that's what I did.

Good value indeed and personal. 1 to 1 with a well qualified driver/instructor, unlike some of these group days. This was you behind the wheel for the full hour. Great fun.

Tis great fun and Brilliant Value.

Tis interesting on the centric circles at the end going the 'normal' roundabout way myself and a friend had it to patter .. however going the opposite, well ... rubbish - we were both called roundabout jockeys smile

Would recommend, however at the end both of us said we'd do it again, but never own one smile

I've driven the super charged jobby and it is insanely fast. Not as forgiving with the back end as the Caterham though.

Noope, I've been driven around the track in an SLS, but that's as far as my experience there goes.
